Alexandra E. Haniford,
better known by Alex, is a whimsical human who happens to also love photographs. After growing up in Southern California she spent the next 8 years living in Washington, DC, during part of which time she attended school at American University and achieved a B.A. in Film and Media Arts. Much of her photographic work revolves around land and space in the District of Columbia, however Alex photographs landscapes almost everywhere she visits, dabbling in the studio here and there for very specific projects. More so, Alex has a knack for using the given lighting or natural light within a space or environment and often rejects the use of professional lighting set ups in order to achieve a sense of authentic time and place in her photographic creations, especially work in portraiture and with the land. She currently resides near Charlotte, NC.
